Furniture Making Classes at Boundary Barn

These classes are designed to be flexible, so that they can be tailored to meet student’s individual requirements, whether an enthusiastic beginner or a more experienced woodworker.

The classes take place once a week, and with a maximum class size of 4, each student benefits from one to one guidance. Students will learn new furniture making techniques and be encouraged to achieve high standards whilst developing their skills.

Beginners will be able to progress from learning the essential fundamental techniques of woodworking and tool tuning to developing their skills on more advanced projects. Students with some experience of woodwork will be able to design and make their own pieces of furniture in a professionally equipped workshop.

Tom is an experienced teacher, he taught at Parnham House and currently runs regular short courses at West Dean College in Sussex, www.westdean.org.uk and teaches annually at the Centre for Furniture Craftsmanship in America, www.woodschool.org
